$350. Early Barry Grant carb with nicely milled choke tower and worked main body. Very clean, should be an easy rebuilder for a street or racing setup. Mechanical secondary (double pumper), 800 cfm, dual fuel inlet. Stock two-corner idle and 30cc primary and 50cc secondary accelerator pumps, and original roller linkage with welded throttle shaft. Later metering blocks, possibly worked. The primary throttle blades were punched; this is ideal for bigger cams that need more idle air to prevent stalling.

$250. This is a sweet Holley 3310-1 vacuum secondary carb from 1972. 780 cfm, dual fuel inlet. Excellent builder, looks like it was rebuilt when needed and taken care of. Should clean up easy. The vacuum secondary diaphragm works great, so can save the hassle of installing a new one and $15. The base plate looks like new but it’s original. The choke hardware was removed, this carb was used in IMCA oval track racing, the throttle lever is peened really solid, no play all. More info below the photos.

There’s a set screw installed in the choke hot air passage (lower plug in the photo); keep if not using a choke or it’ll be a vacuum leak. You can also leave it if installing a manual choke. The secondary hot air pipe hole is also blocked (upper plug in the photo); that should stay.

$250. Holley 4776-7 mechanical secondary carb. 600 cfm, dual fuel inlet. Welded throttle shaft. These later 600 double pumpers had the neat hybrid four-corner idle system with the primary metering blocks controlling the secondary idle fuel a bit. This carb was traded in for a new build in the last few years, drained, cleaned out, etc. The accelerator pump diaphragms are still nice and pliable, but should still be inspected if not rebuilt anyway. Base plate assembly in fantastic condition. I bent the secondary link to get the secondary throttle blades to open 100% at WOT, they were opening only 75% since the carb was new in the 1990s – you’ll get all the power of the new millennium now.

$250. Holley 4777-2 mechanical secondary (double pumper) carburetor from 1989. 650 cfm, dual fuel inlet, manual choke (can remove if not wanted). Righteous builder, other than some grime under one of the bowls, uber clean already, pump diaphragms are pliable, was stored well. Base plate assembly in fantastic condition, and the throttle shafts are tight and no play in the lever at all.

$250. Was on a weekend drag car and traded in for a new carb I built. Will do for some budget strip and recreational street use, especially with a bigger cam. Holley 4777-3 that’s been modified a little. Choke tower’s gone, blended a bit. Welded throttle shaft. The secondary link was bent so the primary throttle blades would be kept open to idle about 1000 rpm for a big cam to prevent stalling. Primary blades are punched for even more air. A secondary idle adjusting bracket was installed to add air on that side. I installed a new secondary link so the primary blades are closed as normal so it can be driven on the street. The punched blades and adjustable secondary throttle opening are all a lumpy cam will need to get enough air to idle, and you can throw on the other secondary link and foot brake away at the track. Everything is solid, pump diaphragms are still pliable, should clean up easy and make a lot of power.

$250. Holley 4778-2 mechanical secondary (double pumper) carburetor. 700 cfm, dual fuel inlet. Groovy builder, very clean already with most original patina left, was cleaned and stored well. Both pump diaphragms are pliable but the secondary is less so; I would say the carb has not been used in at least 10 years but was definitely stored without fuel in it. 30cc primary and 50cc secondary pumps were standard on the 700 carbs. Base plate assembly in great condition, and the throttle shafts are tight. The secondary throttle plate screws were replaced at some point.

$200. Holley HP 390 mechanical secondary (double pumper) alcohol carb, list # 021502. Needs a bit of cleaning and new gaskets for sure but there is a good bit of carb here. This carb was used mostly in NASCAR short track racing a long time ago. Has all the original parts, HP four-corner metering blocks, etc. The throttle shafts are gauge legal if one was to return it to action, through new ones with stainless plates may be in order. Primary throttle plates are punched; baseplate assembly otherwise appears solid. Nifty booster guy wire setup.
