A custom carb doesn't mean unaffordable at all! Revamped former racing carbs are a popular choice like this half-century old 3310 vacuum secondary unit that'll go on a super fast street car that should also be a really good drag car with enough tires. This deal was sporterized with adjustable metering blocks and air correctors and other upgrades that new millennium carbs have for enhanced tuning but retains the 1960s look. Done for the cost of a new mid-grade Holley carb yet even more capable than during its IMCA oval track days. Now that's fueling good about life!

Modification & Uprating

New millennium high-end carburetors have so many adjustment and tuning points that converting from carburetion to EFI is ridiculous! Older carbs, downright vintage ones, and newer basic models can be uprated with the same functionality and tuning means of the budget busters. This is especially useful for racing where maximum performance and means of gaging it while testing is naturally highly advantageous! Those who like to tune will love better tuning for sure. The original components can be modified or swapped out for new custom ones. And you can trade in your old parts for credit.

Metering blocks on all carbs can be modified for adjustable idle fuel and power valve fuel; this makes any street or race carb much more versatile. Mechanical secondary (double pumper) carbs can be modified with an adjustable secondary throttle speed bracket; the best bolt-on upgrade for mechanical secondary setups. Strongly recommended for motors with long duration cams that need a high idle speed to prevent stalling. Accelerator pump system upgrades and converting 4160 vacuum secondary carbs to 4150 (by adding a secondary metering block) are more common upgrades. There are lots of possibilities!

Vintage / Old Model

Roll with an old model vintage Holley if that's your favorite! Full restoration including recoloring to original and finding correct metering blocks for rare or high value carbs - whatever's on your open vintage class track car or street machine. Or retain a general period look and add nifty upgrades to make the carb more capable and versatile; a great way to build a custom budget racing or street performance carb that looks cool. Bringing back vintage Holley carbs is awesome but not always easy. Some of the former 1960s to 1980s racing carbs above are the same in the photo below! Old carbs are like old cars; they and their parts break like the old days. Vintage Holley parts from refinished and ready to assemble and core components in good condition are available for those interested to create their own designs, too; email to see if I have something. These parts are used to repair carbs and resolve incorrect restorations, too. If looking for a restoration or resto-carbo-mod of your carb, I'll let you know if it's not a very costly ordeal or if it needs extensive refinishing / repair.

Not just builders and racers - Jobber pricing on performance components are available to all. New Holley HP, Quick Fuel Q series, ATM, BLP, and other space age components and many refinished vintage ones are available like a US Navy supply man stocked up, so your options are expansive! If you can rebuild a carb, you can build a new one even easier. I can even put together a model carb kit for you to save hundreds and you can DIY your tires off. Many service and repair parts are available for Holleys past and present; I break parts all the time, so figured others may sometimes, too. They're indeed for sale.

Rebuilds

Please email about working over whatever Holley type atmosphere vaporizer feeds your race car or street machine. Not just a gasket kit! Everything is thoroughly inspected, disassembled, deep cleaned, and inspected again. We'll work together to select the best jets, power valves, and the rest for your setup, application, elevation, etc. I use only Holley, Quick, Fuel, and Demon replacement and upgrade parts, specialty parts from other fine U.S. manufacturers ranging from machine screws to ultra high precision castings, and some components designed by yours fuely. Custom high performance carburetors get the best stuff for the intended purpose. And so do all rebuilds. Any other way would be uncivilized.

I build and sell kits. Gas, alcohol, ethanol? 4778 700 cfm mechanical secondary, 3310 780 vacuum secondary, shiny 600 tunnel ram carbs with two seasons on them?
